Jordi Llopis i Freixas, born in Barcelona, holds an MA RCA in Product Design from the Royal College of Art, London, and a BA in Industrial Design from the Elisava Design School of Barcelona.
Llopis set up his own design studio in Barcelona after working successively for design studios and companies. Since 2000, moreover, he has worked with various leading design companies and publishers like Bover; Metalarte; Grisverd; Leds-C4 and Faro.
Llopis has taken part in some collective exhibitions at major international design events and his creations have also been shown in art galleries and museums. His works have been published in such national and international monographic and featured in prestigious dailies.
As a teacher, he has served as visiting professor at the IED, BCD and Elisava. Collaborates at the UAA University of Aguascalientes Mexico and currently since 2013 at ESDi as a Lighting Design, Projects and Furniture Design professor.
Lifelight lamp is part of the permanent collection of Design Museum Barcelona.
Was Board Member of of the ADI-FAD.
In 2012 creates a design editor in the Alt Empordà, Brots (www.brots.org), self-production design studio, sales and exhibition platform for external designers and promotion creativity.
